I love this product so much, but my third time around, it lacks all the characteristics of a balm and is instead liquidy and more like a slippery oil than a balm. It’s unfortunate because this makes it harder to travel with and it doesn’t have the same premium, luxury feel as it did before. Based on other comments here, it doesn’t seem worth contacting the company, but I do hope this was just an off batch. It’s a little too pricey to just toss this container and take a chance buying another that will be the same. 😞
I left a review a few weeks ago because I use and love the Haoma Cleansing Balm and my most recent purchase arrived with a totally different consistency than I have come to expect. In my review I noted that I had reached out to customer service and was disappointed not to have heard back.
When I arrived home today, there was a shipment from Haoma with a completely new cleansing balm along with some additional samples. So I am returning to say that not only is their cleaning balm my all-time favorite, but that their customer service came through. They didn't argue or ask me to take photos or prove anything, they simply stood behind their product and sent a replacement. I am impressed by this level of care and class. I love these products and probably would have continued purchasing them despite the issue I had, but I'm happy to say that their customer service is at a level higher than I could have expected. I truly respect a company who stands so firmly behind their products. Thank you!
I have purchased and loved the cleansing balm many times. The batch that I received was totally liquid and separated. I would describe it as an oil and not a balm. When I opened the container, I was not expecting it to be this consistency a few tablespoons worth of product sloshed out and onto the counter. I emailed the company asking that they please swap it out, but didn't hear anything back so at this point I just funneled it into a bottle so it's easier to use. I still love the scent, but I have to admit that I'm dissappointed not to have heard back from the company. It's an expensive product and I don't believe that loyal customers should have to spend time chasing down customer service.
Hi! Tbh I wish it had a stronger fragrance. It’s very faint. And thats coming from someone who can get an instant headache even natural scents. I think the diatomaceous earth really works for me. I was previously using Hume deodorant, but can only use unscented, as every single one of their scents gives me a headache. I do like to have some fragrance, but it’s hard to find both diatomaceous earth and a scent that won’t give me a headache. This scent is really nice…just wish it was a little stronger. Even if the deodorant works well, I still need fragrance to ask my inevitable eventual BO : )
